The rental accommodation at Quinta Castanheira is a bright, modern, and spacious first-floor apartment within the red house on the property. Please note that the ground floor is empty, so you can enjoy quiet privacy within this inviting space! The apartment comprises three double bedrooms, two bathrooms with walk-in showers, a large open-plan living area with a vintage dining table for six, a fully equipped kitchen, and a comfortable lounge area with sofas and a television.

Quinta Castanheira is partially off-grid, powered by a mix of our own solar panels and electricity from a 100% renewable supplier. We even set our highest-consuming electrical appliances on smart timers to ensure that as much power as possible comes from the sun!
At Quinta Castanheira, we use well water for the garden and swimming pool, while the houses are supplied with mains water that is suitable to drink. The kitchen features a fridge-freezer, microwave, electric oven and hob, and various other appliances to facilitate your culinary adventures. We have satellite television and a range of Portuguese and English-language channels are available. Bedding and towels are provided for use during your stay.
The apartment and outdoor common areas are all covered by free Wi-fi, allowing you to choose how connected or disconnected from the rest of the world you wish to be. Inside the apartment is a no-smoking area, but guests are welcome to smoke in the bar if they wish to.
